THE CONTEMPORARY ALLURE OF MARBLE — THE PERCEPTION OF LUXURY
There are projects in which the sense of luxury and refinement must be immediate; spaces that must communicate from the outset the value of the objects they display, like precious jewellery boxes. Such is the case of the Ferragamo Boutique in Rome, where marble surfaces embellish the rooms with their natural shades and spectacular reflections. The floor is an Italian herringbone, reproduced in hazel travertine marble: the glossy, uniform effect lends richness to the whole space.
CAPTURING ATTENTION
The customer's attention is drawn towards the display areas, framed by a portal with marble pillars that emphasise and guide the gaze towards the products.
THE LIGHTNESS OF MARBLE
The staircase rises as an element conceived to amaze: striking is its balance between the solidity of marble and the lightness of the structure, cantilevered in an almost suspended, ethereal moment. The steps are clad entirely in walnut travertine, with a «box» effect, lightened materials and 45° cuts. Underneath, light slits illuminate the space, while the glass balustrade cuts into the marble step with a clean, refined detail. Individual products are showcased on triumphal podiums, resting elegantly on metal risers and on solid Etruscan yellow marble.
