«I WAS LOOKING FOR A GREEN CAPABLE OF FILLING ME WITH OPTIMISM AND SERENITY»

Carlo Rampazzi, architect and designer, chose an extraordinary Lemon green for his Bentley Continental Flying Spur. As he himself puts it: «It is a colour that did not exist before and has become unique».

As early as the early 2000s, long before green became the symbol of today's environmental battles, Rampazzi had grasped the intrinsic energy of this shade. Born under the sign of Taurus, he personally selected this hue together with the Bentley team in England.

The four-door saloon delivers 559 horsepower and a top speed of 312 km/h. Rampazzi also meticulously designed the interior, turning the vehicle into a work of art. Describing the colour, he explains: «It is neither metallic nor satin, neither cold nor warm: it is a shade that changes with the light and the weather».

A PASSION FOR DETAIL

The architect often wears hand-dyed leather ankle boots created by designer Olga Berluti, inspired by the colour of the bodywork. When travelling he also carries his famous 2003 Hermès apple holder, made to his own design at the Commandes spéciales atelier of the Parisian Maison: a unique piece in Lemon green leather with an antibacterial silver lining.
