Jam World was founded by Jamaica Salvato in 2009 and is based in Florence, in the historic Palazzo dei Pittori, one of the city's most prestigious and exclusive buildings.

Tell us about Jam World…

Over time, my ability to build relationships has allowed me to establish and consolidate collaborations with various businesses, fostering strategic relationships with highly trusted contacts in countries around the world.

What are your goals?

Jam World's goal is to build relationships in different markets where there is strong demand for Made in Italy products in the interior design, fashion and food sectors.

My mission is to offer business opportunities and open direct channels thanks to my contacts. For many years I worked in the communications sector, creating the image of numerous companies.

Today, together with my team of collaborators, I put my experience and know-how at the service of companies seeking to export their products and services effectively, in a targeted and secure way.

The reach of your network is your strong point: where does it extend?

The network extends from North America to Dubai, via Portugal, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan and India. In Africa: Morocco, Uganda, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda and Tanzania.

What are your next goals?

In recent years, thanks to its constant search for excellent products and Made in Italy craftsmanship, Jam World has started a partnership with Italian Luxury Design, a leading company in the «turnkey» luxury residential and contract sector with offices in Miami, Los Angeles and New York, sharing a common vision: to develop the emerging African market.

AFROJAM, LUXURY & CONTEMPORARY DESIGN

How are the Afrojam works created?

My great passion is art. I think of paintings with brilliant, tactile textures; they arise from the idea of combining and shaping unusual materials: acrylics and plaster, gold, silver and copper leaf. The material thus merges with the brilliance of impalpable papers and glitter, creating precious works which, while taking the classic form of a painting, are conceived as true objects of contemporary design.

What is the connection with Africa?

The canvases also feature another great protagonist: Colour. An explosion of full, exuberant, rich tones that carry you into a dream. An enchanted atmosphere that conveys positive vibrations, capable of awakening sensations and emotions.
